Extended partial school closure letter to Year 9 parents/carers

Further to my letter to you on 17 January, I am writing to confirm that the partial closure that was implemented for Y9 from Tuesday 18 January to Thursday 20 January will be extended to include Friday 21 January. Unfortunately, we continue to have a significant number of staff absences and therefore we cannot fully staff their lessons and keep students safe. We continue to struggle to secure supply staff from agencies which has resulted in the academy having to make the decision to extend the closure to Y9. However, the academy will reopen to Y9 on Monday 24 January. If a further partial closure is required next week, we will ensure that this will not affect Y9 students.
